Level-headed, Rahal is easily a people person, preferring to make friends than enemies, and is aware of people's emotions. He will do what he can for a person, but does not make unrealistic promises, and offers only what advice he thinks he is capable of offering. If he does not understand the situation, he will say as much. Rahal is also intellectual. He enjoys reading, playing his flute, and having philosophical discussions, and is considered one of the smartest Dragon Calvary soldiers, and he credits his intelligence for his rank more so than his military prowess. Rahal also dislikes fighting, and is often called upon to act as a judge and jury for quarrels. Rahal usually tries to avoid fights of his own, but if he must fight he will try and resolve the issue with words rather than swords. He is always willing to compromise, yet will stand firm when he must, and is a formidable opponent in debates. He also believes he should use his strength to protect the weak and the land and not use it to gain power for himself, and looks down upon those who do. He is kind to all, thinking no one man better than another for their station in life.
BONUS: Drunken Personality: Rahal does not usually drink, and this makes his susceptible to becoming drunk very easily (it takes maybe two mugs of moderate ale to get him plastered). When drunk he becomes shy and giggly, with a constant blush to his creamy skin. He will stay in the back of the crowd, make cute comments now and then, and other wise giggle, hiccup, blush, and remain rather quiet.

Flail's Personality: Flail is dedicated to her job and her rider. She enjoys having something to do, and likes to be ridden even when not on duty. If she is not on duty she enjoys sunbathing in a pasture of on a sandy beach, and loves a good swim. She is incredibly smart for a dragon horse, and proves that locks are useless on stalls to her. She does not anger easily, but is protective of Rahal and vicious in battle. She is gentle around children and other females, but is more selective of men. Flail is not overly vain, but knows she is pretty and always enjoys a good grooming, and never misses a moment to sing to those who appreciate her song.

BACKGROUND

Rahal grew up in Sauronix Castle with his sister Rania, Miakis, and Roog. His childhood was somewhat strict, considering he lived on Cavalry grounds, and his parents expect much of him and his sister. However, this did not stop him from playing pranks. He and his sister often switch outfits and dressed up as one another (a talent which would serve him well during the war). His parents found this both annoying and amusing, and he and his sister often managed to confuse the entirety of Sauronix Castle with their antics. He was exposed to dragon horses from a young age, and his love of the surroundings of Sauronix Castle led him to want to become a Dragon Calvary member.

Training to become a Calvary rider, he was transfered to Gordias Village when he was ten years old to begin his training. He would go on his first military foray when he was sixteen after spending six years in the men's only village with little outside contact. It was here that he met Flail, winning the dragon horse over with his flute playing (something he was good at thanks to his sister and mother being unable to stand poor music when they were younger). He became very close to Flail, treating her more as a human family member than a dragon horse, and their bond is shown throughout their military efforts. He was almost like a fussy father-to-be when Flail became pregnant, wanting to ensure her healthy eggs.

Rahal loves the land of Falena, thus his temperament is perfect for a Calvary rider. He does not regret his decision to aid the Prince during the war, and feels like he acted rightly to save Falena from a much greater evil, even if said evil was internalized. He now works as the head of the Dragon Calvary when Craig stepped down. However, he does not have sole power. He keeps a council of advisors to help aid his decisions and keep things running smoothly throughout Falena when he is otherwise occupied or indisposed. He retains the power to make decisions without their approval, but he rarely exercises this power (except in the cases of allowing women into the Calvary and setting up new factions of Calvary).

Rahal comes to Budehuc shortly after he is put in charge of the Dragon Calvary, having passed the new reforms of letting women into the Calvary and creating the Sun Palace Calvary faction, via meeting Viki in a market place. Wanting to say hello, he taps her on the shoulder, which startles her, she sneezes, and both her and Flail are transported to Budehuc roughly, thirty-three years in the future. He has gotten little rest during his run as Commander, but things have begun to calm down, and he sees coming to Budehuc as a chance to recharge and truly think about the direction in which his life is headed and if he wishes to continue it. But even at Budehuc he wishes to continue protecting people, and signs up to be a knight for the Castle, along with Flail (who came to Budehuc with him).
